New SSA chief eyes bigger S'pore role
Esben Poulsson talks about promoting maritime listings on the local bourse and ship owners' compliance with the sulphur cap.
TWO months into his term as president of the Singapore Shipping Association, Esben Poulsson sat down with the Maritime Port Authority and Singapore Exchange for a chat on promoting maritime listings on the Singapore bourse.
The September discussion also marked one of the first formal meetings between Mr Poulsson and Mr Loh Boon Chye - who was appointed SGX's chief executive about the same time as SSA swore in its new president.
The meeting, which Mr Poulsson described as "very constructive", was followed through with the formation of a working group led by MPA.
