Noble CEO says China market rout puts govt credibility on the line

HOW successful Beijing is - in managing the rout in the Chinese equity market - matters because it will affect the government's credibility.
This is important as many have had fears of a hard landing for China, and these concerns have been allayed so far because most people are confident in the government's ability to manage the economy, said Noble Group CEO Yusuf Alireza. "If they can't get it under control, they will have problems not only in terms of consumption levels, but also in terms of credibility."
