OCBC holds speed networking session for Gen Y employees to meet senior leaders
OCBC held a "speed networking" session on Friday (May 22) for 35 of its Gen Y employees to mingle and learn from senior leaders in a non-traditional setting.
This was the first time the bank has held such a session, which was part of a programme called Talkfest, where employees under 30, are invited to dialogue sessions with senior leaders of the bank. It was held at OCBC Campus, the bank's 10-storey dedicated learning hub along Tanjong Pagar Road.
These 35 young employees came from various divisions of the bank including corporate banking, consumer banking, group operations and technology, and legal and compliance. They met with eight senior leaders from divisions such as corporate banking, group operations and technology, and treasury.
In a news release issued on Sunday, OCBC said the speed networking session was inspired by the concept of 'speed dating', where daters move from table to table after every few minutes of mingling.
