OCBC sounds alarm on phone scammers impersonating its staff
Since July 1, it has received over 1,080 customer calls about such scams, an explosion from just 16 in April

MANDARIN-SPEAKING conmen are putting on new disguises to cheat people of their money through phone scams, by posing as representatives from at least one Singapore bank.
OCBC Bank said on Monday that there has been a sharp rise in the number of calls received from its customers and the public related to phone scams impersonating the bank over the past few weeks.
