OCBC starts buybacks under new mandate
OCBC and DBS Group had the largest amount of institutional inflows while Singtel and Genting S'pore saw the largest outflows.
The four trading sessions spanning May 5 to May 11 saw the Straits Times Index (STI) add 1.3 per cent, which took its 2017 year-to-date dividend-inclusive return to 15.0 per cent. Almost 60 stocks went ex-dividend over the four trading sessions.
Capital World listed on May 5, after completing its acquisition of Terratech Group through a reverse takeover. Based in Johor, Capital World is an integrated property developer that focuses on working with landowners through joint ventures to enhance their asset values.
With the broader market focused on earnings, company announcements over the four sessions included more than 40 filings of director holdings and 30 substantial shareholder filings.
