PepsiCo's new Jurong plant to supply 20 Asia-Pacific markets

PEPSICO officially opened its first concentrate plant in 10 years in Jurong on Thursday.
Completed last year with support from the Economic Development Board (EDB), the S$130 million facility will launch a regular supply of beverage concentrates to 20 markets in the Asia-Pacific from this month.
The company said Singapore's strategic location will enable the company to efficiently distribute concentrates to the region, which was previously served by a plant in Ireland.
The plant will also support innovation for PepsiCo's goal of producing healthier drinks. Its target is to reduce calories and added sugars in its beverages; by 2025, the company wants two-thirds of its global beverage portfolio volume to contain 100 calories or less from added sugars in ea…
