Philip Tang & Sons evolves with the times
From software developer and systems integrator, it's now a product builder
Singapore
HOMEGROWN Philip Tang & Sons (PTS) has been known to be many things in the local IT (information technology) circuit - Internet solutions provider, software developer and systems integrator. While all of them are apt descriptions of the company that was founded in 1980, it now wants to be known as a product builder, from being a project manager.
This was articulated byCEOFranklin Tang in an interview with The Business Times recently. He contends that the reasons behind the company's changing focus had to do with being forced to adapt due to volatile economic conditions, as well as innovating to stay ahead of the competition.
