Plenty of nuggets to pick from DBS annual report
DBS Group Holdings' latest annual report is not a bad read, as annual reports go. For one, the board, or rather the directors who are male, are shown in all their shirt sleeves glory, (sorry ladies), sensible given the heat.
One assumes the studied casualness is in line with its "Live more, Bank less" title. DBS said that its intent is to make banking so easy, fast and effortless that people do more of what they want - bank less and so live more.
Fashion aside, DBS chief executive Piyush Gupta, not one to shy away from tough issues, talked about the loss of trust of bankers as a result of the global financial crisis.
