POSB robot makes its rounds at branches
Singapore
POSB Bank has introduced a friendly "robot" at selected branches as part of an innovative programme it is piloting to enhance customers' banking experience. The 1.2-metre tall robot, which has not been officially named yet, has been making its rounds at Ngee Ann City, Jurong East, Waterway Point and White Sands branches.
Customers can interact with the robot by speaking to it or pressing its buttons on a touch screen on its chest. It responds with voice and also arm gestures. The screen can also show an informative video. For now, the robot provides information on banking services about POSB's digibank mobile banking app.
