QT Vascular wins US appeal against US$20m award

AN APPEAL court in the US has reversed a district court ruling for Singapore-listed QT Vascular to pay more than US$20 million in damages to rival AngioScore Inc.
The protracted patent infringement battle tracing back to 2012 involved angioplasty balloons used to widen obstructed blood vessels.
At issue was the damage award ruling by a federal district court in San Francisco that Eitan Konstantino - QT Vascular's chief executive officer who is a former co-founder and board member of AngioScore - had breached his fiduciary duty to AngioScore.
