Rotary Engineering wins S$64m contracts
MAINBOARD-LISTED Rotary Engineering announced before trading hours on Friday that it has secured contracts worth approximately S$64 million for the June-September period.
The company said these secured contracts are for smaller and more varied jobs beyond tank storage construction.
"Many of the new projects require integration of several engineering and construction skills such as piping, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation, metal and alloy fabrication, and HVAC (heating, ventilation, air-conditioning)," the company said.
Included in the contracts is a key project where Rotary served as the main contractor for the extension of a chemical storage and handling facility in the United Arab Emirates. Its work scope in the project included mechanical and piping, electrical and instrumentation, firefighting works, civil and structural works, utilities and HVAC works.
In Thailand, the group has also secured two contracts for fabrication works of oil and gas production-related modules. In addition, it has won an EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contract for the revamp and capacity expansion of a grease-manufacturing plant in Samut Sakorn province.
Rotary's chairman and managing director, Roger Chia Kim Piow, said: "Our new wins reflect customers' confidence as well as Rotary's growing presence within the Middle East and Asia-Pacific region. We will continue to actively explore business opportunities and focus on delivering quality services."
