SATS unveils S$21m e-commerce airhub

CONSUMERS can expect overseas packages to arrive sooner with the opening of SATS' new eCommerce AirHub.
The S$21 million facility, which was officially opened on Thursday, will enhance Changi's e-commerce mail-sorting capability by more than three times, supporting the growing e-commerce market. It will also reduce the processing time by half - from six hours to three. This allows international e-commerce mail to connect to an earlier flight for faster delivery.
The new eCommerce AirHub will automatically scan and sort the package before handing it over to SingPost immediately for delivery - a far cry from previously when these postage items were manually scanned and sorted.
