Sembawang Shipyard, GasLog unit ink long-term contract
SEMBAWANG Shipyard has secured a long-term favoured customer contract (FCC) from GasLog LNG Services, boosting Singapore's status as a major global LNG hub.
The wholly owned subsidiary of Sembcorp Marine (Sembmarine) will provide shiprepair, refurbishment, upgrading and related marine services to GasLog LNG Services, whose parent GasLog Ltd is an international owner, operator and manager of LNG carriers.
Sembmarine announced yesterday that the contract would commit the repairs, refurbishment and upgrading of GasLog's fleet of 20 LNG carriers docking in Singapore exclusively to Sembawang Shipyard.
