Sembcorp Marine wins S$600m deal from French O&G company
SEMBCORP Marine, through wholly owned subsidiary Sembawang Shipyard, has secured a S$600 million contract from French oil and gas company Saipem, in relation to the Kaombo Project in offshore Angola.
Under the contract, Sembawang Shipyard will convert two very large crude carrier (VLCC) sister ships into two floating storage production offloading (FPSO) units.
It will also perform refurbishment works and construction engineering for the VLCCs, among other major works.
