RIGBUILDER Sembcorp Marine has clinched an approximately US$1 billion order from Dutch firm Heerema Offshore Services to build what could be the world's biggest semi-submersible crane vessel, the group said on Wednesday.
The engineering and construction contract, one of Sembmarine's largest so far this year, materialised after one of the group's units, Jurong Shipyard, signed a letter of intent with Heerema in March this year.
