SERIAL System appointed Teo Ser Luck as its non-executive, independent deputy chairman on July 15.
Mr Teo stepped down as Minister of State for Manpower on June 30 and as Mayor for North East District when his term ended on May 26. He remains a Member of Parliament for Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC.
Serial System, headed by Derek Goh Bak Heng, is involved in the semiconductors/components distribution business and the consumer appliances business.
The counter closed at 18 Singapore cents on Friday, up 0.1 Singapore cent from the Thursday close.
