Serial System posts 50% higher Q3 earnings

ELECTRONIC-parts seller Serial System on Tuesday reported a 50 per cent boost in net profit for the third quarter compared to a year ago on the back of higher sales.
Net profit for the three months ended Sept 30, 2014 stood at US$4.32 million, up from US$2.87 million.
Sales rose 32 per cent to US$293 million, thanks to strong sales in China to smartphone, consumer electronics, household appliances and automotive customers.
