SGX issues trading caution on Tritech
THE SGX issued a warning to investors on Monday to trade with caution Tritech Group's shares after it had queried the company for irregular trading.
The regulator drew the market's attention to its query of Tritech regarding the substantial increase in its traded volume on Monday.
Tritech responded to these queries on Monday itself, saying that it was not aware of any reasons that could possibly explain the trading in its securities.
"In view of the trading activities observed and the issuer's response, shareholders and potential investors should exercise caution when dealing in the securities," SGX wrote in a note on its website.
The statement added that it will investigate all possible transgressions and will work with the relevant regulatory agencies to pursue actions to maintain a fair, orderly and transparent market.
