SGX Q4 profit falls 20.1%

Final dividend of S$0.13 raises FY2016 payout to S$0.28, unchanged from FY2015

SINGAPORE Exchange's net profit for the final quarter ended June 2016 fell 20.1 per cent to S$76.8 million led by dampened trading sentiment against the backdrop of global macro uncertainties.

Revenue fell 8 per cent to S$198.1 million from S$215.3 million previously.

Earnings per share stood at 7.2 Singapore cents, lower than 9 Singapore cents a year ago.

Despite the Q4 earnings fall, the market operator's net profit for the full year (FY2016) inched up to S$349.02 million from FY2015's S$348.61 million. FY2016 included an impairment charge of S$6 m…
