Singapore banks' exposure to oil firms manageable: report (Amended)

SINGAPORE banks have exposures to major oil-and-gas players in the Republic and in Malaysia, but these are manageable, a recent Maybank-Kim Eng Research report said.
By looking through disclosures of oil-and-gas companies' principal bankers, senior analyst Ng Wee Siang found that Singapore banks are exposed to several Singapore-listed names. Banks here do not disclose directly their lending to the oil-and-gas sector.
