Singapore market has edge over regional peers: analysts
A RECENT correction in Singapore stocks has made the local market a more attractive bet vis-a-vis its regional peers on two fronts: valuation and yield.
While concerns remained over a domestic manpower crunch, elevated business costs, a lacklustre property market and higher interest rates, the Singapore stock market's more defensive nature gave it the edge, said analysts.
HSBC Global Research maintained its "overweight" rating on Singapore equities in a report on Friday, saying that the stock market here "offers the best yield in the region".
