SingPost's ex-CEO Wolfgang Baier joins Luxasia as its group chief executive
SINGAPORE Post's (SingPost) former chief executive officer Wolfgang Baier has joined beauty company Luxasia Group.
In a press release on Wednesday, Luxasia said Dr Baier has been appointed as its group CEO with immediate effect, while founder-owner Patrick Chong will become chairman.
Dr Baier's appointment will be key to Luxasia's overall growth strategy, and comes after a year's search for a CEO, said the firm.
Luxasia manages a portfolio of more than 120 international fragrance, cosmetics, skincare and professional salon brands such as Clarins, Estee Lauder, Ferragamo, Hermes and Shiseido. It has 11 offices in the region, and more than 2,000 full-time employees in Singapore.
"Luxasia is now at important crossroads and our aim is to enhance our offerings to capitalise on market opportunities and deepen the trust with our brand owners and consumers," said Mr Chong.
"Wolfgang has proven leadership capabilities, vast knowledge and skills in areas such as CRM and omni-channel retail experiences which will strengthen Luxasia's future offerings. His track record in the logistics sector will also help strengthen Luxasia's existing partnerships," he added.
