SINGAPORE Post's cross-border e-commerce volume surged 60 per cent year-on-year in November to 4.6 million packages, SingPost e-commerce CEO Marcelo Wesseler said on Tuesday.
Besides the key holiday events like China's Singles Day shopping on Nov 11, Black Friday on Nov 27 and Cyber Monday on Nov 30 in the US, Mr Wesseler told BT that the surge was also bolstered by greater marketing on SingPost's international shipping service vPost as well as consumers in South-east Asia and Australia becoming more savvy in taking advantage of sale events overseas.
