SingTel partners FireEye to boost regional cyber defence
US$50m to be co-invested over next five years to build Advanced Security Operation Centres in S'pore, Sydney

SINGAPORE Telecommunications Ltd (SingTel) has teamed up with network security company FireEye to provide an enhanced cyber security solution in the Asia-Pacific.
In the deal, SingTel and FireEye will co-invest US$50 million over the next five years to build new Advanced Security Operation Centres (ASOCs) in Singapore and Sydney. The two companies will work together to build up regional cyber security expertise, including training of up to 150 professionals to operate the ASOCs. The centres are expected to be operational by the first quarter of 2015.
The partnership will also see the launch of the first SingTel Managed Defence solution, powered by FireEye in the Asia-Pacific. The managed defence solution will provide continuous monitoring, detection and the quick containmen…
