SINGTEL and Telkomsel have launched a real-time mobile remittance service to Indonesia.
This means Indonesians working in Singapore can send money to family members who do not have bank accounts.
According to the Indonesian Embassy here, there are 200,000 Indonesians living and working in Singapore. They remit over US$409 million to Indonesia yearly.
