Soilbuild to construct Bedok Food City
SOILBUILD Construction Group said after trading closed on Wednesday that it had been awarded a construction contract by the Housing & Development Board (HDB) to build Bedok Food City, a ramp-up five-storey food complex at Bedok North Avenue 4.
The project is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2017 and will take about 32 months to complete.
This latest contract has raised the group's order book to S$562.2 million.
Soilbuild Construction executive director Ho Toon Bah said: "We are encouraged by the award of this contract and to date, we have been awarded more than S$700 million of contracts by the HDB since our entry into this sector in 2012.
"We will continue our effort to secure more projects in the local market, and remain focused on our operations to deliver quality buildings to our clients on schedule."
