South-east Asia a bright spot for MCC's intra-Asia trade

AP Moller-Maersk Group's intra-Asia unit MCC Transport is drawing increasing profit from box trade in South-east Asia, where business volume is seen expanding at a double- digit rate in some emerging economies.
MCC Transport's chief executive Tim Wickmann told BT South-east Asia made up 45 per cent of exports handled by the intra-Asia specialist in 2015.
China remains by far the biggest motor in trade expansion despite its slowing economy. So North Asia exports continue to account for the lion's share of MCC's intra-Asia trade.
