ST Electronics, Saab to promote use of digital air-traffic towers in region
THE electronics arm of Singapore Technologies (ST) Engineering has signed a memorandum of understanding with Saab Digital Air Traffic Solutions to establish a Centre of Excellence in Singapore for airport digital towers.
ST Electronics said in a press release that the centre will provide a test bed for technologies and aim to improve regional use of digital towers, which are technology-enhanced air-traffic management solutions.
ST Electronics executive vice-president and general manager Low Jin Phang said: "With the increasing number of airports in the South-east Asia region now, it is crucial to deliver smart solutions that can meet the growing expectations of customers and enhancing their flight journeys."
