ST Electronics secures S$435m contracts in Q4
SINGAPORE Technologies Electronics (ST Electronics) has secured about S$435 million worth of contracts in the fourth quarter of 2015. This takes the amount of orders secured for the full year by the electronics arm of Singapore Technologies Engineering to around S$1.61 billion
The fourth-quarter orders cover ST Electronics' core sectors of rail electronics & intelligent transportation, satellite & broadband communications, as well as advanced electronics & information communications technologies (ICT) services.
Rail electronics & intelligent transportation contracts of about S$91 million were secured from local and overseas customers in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, among others. These projects will be completed progressively until the end of 2020.
For satellite communications, ST Electronics received contracts amounting to about S$107 million from government, telecom and enterprise users worldwide for the supply of satellite network equipment, earth stations and man-pack terminals.
About S$237 million worth of advanced electronics and ICT contracts were clinched from both public and private sectors.
