ST Engineering wins Mindef contract

THE Singapore Ministry of Defence has awarded a contract to Singapore Technologies Engineering (ST Engineering) for the production and supply of the Next Generation Armoured Fighting Vehicle (AFV), which boasts enhanced firepower, protection and mobility.
The Next Generation AFV will replace the aging Ultra M113 AFV which has been in service since the early 70s.
The delivery of the Next Generation AFV will begin in 2019. No price details were provided.
