THE past five sessions saw the Straits Times Index hold its 14 per cent total return for the 2017 year to date. The five sessions also saw notable transactions filed by Singapore businesses, all of which have an international market presence.
Eight stocks conducted share buybacks over the five sessions with a total consideration of S$11.7 million, up 22 per cent from the preceding five sessions. Again, OCBC contributed most to the buybacks, with one million shares purchased at an average price of S$10.60.
Over the five sessions, 56 stocks lodged changes in director interests and/or substantial shareholders.
