ST Teleport extends satellite communications coverage

ST Teleport, a satellite and fibre communications solutions provider and part of the ST Telemedia group, has formed a strategic partnership with Telespazio, a leading global provider of satellite services.

Telespazio, headquartered in Rome, is a joint venture between Finmeccanica and Thales Group. It operates the world's largest teleport facility. A teleport is a satellite ground station that functions as a hub connecting a satellite or geocentric orbital network with a terrestrial telecommunications network, such as the Internet.
