StarHub names new chiefs for finance, marketing, strategic partnerships
STARHUB has hired two tech-industry veterans to become its new chiefs of finance and marketing, and carved out a new role for its outgoing marketing head as chief strategic partnerships officer (CSPO), the Singapore telco announced on Friday.
Current STATS ChipPAC chief financial officer Dennis Chia will become StarHub's CFO on July 8.
STATS ChipPAC, a semiconductor packaging and testing company that is currently being acquired by a consortium led by Jiangsu Changjiang Electronics Technology Co, said that it has already identified a replacement, but will make an announcement only after control of the company has changed.
Howie Lau, the current corporate development vice-president at Lenovo's Worldwide Finance Organisation, will replace Jeannie Ong as StarHub's chief marketing officer on July 8 as well.
Ms Ong, in her new role as CSPO, will "lead StarHub's efforts in establishing and maintaining strong strategic relationships with government agencies, content partners, key strategic partners and other complementary companies", StarHub said.
StarHub shares closed at S$3.97 on Friday before the changes were announced.
