StarHub Q4 net profit down 33.2% to S$54m
Lower subscription rate, lower IDD and roaming usage contribute to drop

LOWER revenue from equipment sales, among other factors, contributed to a 33.2 per cent drop in StarHub's fourth quarter net profit for the period ended Dec 31, 2016. Net profit for the quarter was S$54 million - down from the S$80.8 million it bagged one year ago. Revenue for the period was flat with a 0.2 per cent gain to S$634.8 million from S$633.8 million a year ago.
The company declared a final dividend of 5 Singapore cents per ordinary share - the same as last year - bringing StarHub's total dividend payout for 2016 to 20 Singapore cents.
