Starhub Q4 profit up 10% to S$94.2 million
Starhub posted a 10 per cent jump in fourth quarter net profit to S$94.2 million from S$85.7 million a year ago.
Revenue rose 5 per cent to S$647.4 million led by higher revenue from sales of equipment and strong demand for the new iPhones.
Starhub's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation rose 10 per cent to S$192.4 million while ebitda margin as a percentage of service revenue was 33.8 per cent for the quarter, up from 30.9 per cent a year ago.
Service revenue increased marginally by 0.5 per cent to S$569.2 million dragged down by a 16 per cent fall in the broadband business while revenue from the mobile segment, pay-TV and fixed network segments rose by 3 per cent, 0.2 per cent and 4 per cent, respectively.
Earnings per share stood at 5.5 Singapore cents, up from 5 Singapore cents a year ago.
The firm has recommended a final dividend of 5 Singapore cents per share for the period.
