STI flat after large swings since January

THE Straits Times Index (STI) had a quiet session on Tuesday, and eventually settled for a 0.04 point loss at 2,880.65.
In all, almost two billion units worth S$1.23 billion were traded.
Overseas markets did not provide much direction. The Dow futures slipped marginally, Hong Kong dropped slightly and Europe opened marginally weak.
Excluding warrants, there were 191 rises versus 193 falls.
