Property, banking, oil and gas sectors helping to sustain rally as investors pile in
SINGAPORE shares rose for a third day on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index closing higher by 13.8 points, or 0.39 per cent, at 3,550.21.
The modest gain was enough to propel the benchmark to its highest level since Dec 11, 2007.
Across the bourse, almost 2.12 billion shares worth S$1.12 billion were traded, with gainers beating out losers 272 to 182.
Manufacturer JEP Holdings topped the actives list again, with 375.2 million shares changing hands.
