STI slides on jitters over Middle-East conflict
Index loses 32 points in lacklustre trading to end at 2,891.58
THE local bourse wobbled downhill on Wednesday, spooked by geopolitical concerns after Turkey downed a Russian fighter jet near the Syrian border, with the key index erasing all of the previous day's gains and some.
The benchmark Straits Times Index slipped 32 points or 1.09 per cent to finish the day at 2,891.58.
Investors across the regional markets also chose to stay on the sidelines ahead of the release of some data out of the US, a day before Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday.
