Systra, Meinhardt secure contracts for KL-Singapore HSR project
GLOBAL engineering firms Systra and Meinhardt on Thursday announced that they have been awarded two contracts for the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail (HSR) project by MyHSR Corporation, the company responsible for the development and promotion of the project.
Systra and Meinhardt will provide the full range of multi-disciplinary services and expertise under the Reference Design Consultant contracts.
These contracts also mark the start of a collaboration between the two companies. Systra, which has been providing its services since 1957, specialises in the mass transit and rail market with a presence in 80 countries; Meinhardt has been providing a broad range of engineering consulting capabilities for the past 60 years and has 45 offices worldwide.
The first contract covers the civil reference design works of the two international stations in Malaysia, Bandar Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur and Iskandar Puteri at the southern end of the Malaysian alignment.
The second contract covers the civil reference design works covering the first 38km from Bandar Malaysia Station to the state border between Selangor and Negeri Sembilan.
