Temasek CEO Ho Ching to take three-month sabbatical
TEMASEK Holdings said on Wednesday that its chief executive officer, Ho Ching, will take sabbatical leave for three months.
No reason was cited in the short statement issued in the morning. But a Temasek spokeswoman said that this was "not related to any retirement plans at all". In a Facebook post around 9pm, Ms Ho thanked her friends for their messages, and assured them that she was well.
"Now is as good a time as any to spend some time on a couple of longstanding things which I have wanted to do," she wrote. These include catching up on sleep, and doing "a lot more walking", she quipped. "Good team in Temasek. Joked with them that I'm testing out what a sabbatical means."
