Thai Beverage Q3 profit falls 9% on flat revenue
THAI Beverage on Friday posted a 9 per cent drop in net profit to 3.7 billion baht (S$146 million), on the back of a one per cent rise in revenue to 35.3 billion baht for its third quarter ended Sept 2014.
The higher revenue was due to an increase in its sales of beer, spirits, non-alcoholic beverages and food.
The weaker bottom line was due to lower profits from its spirits and food businesses, greater losses from its non-alcoholic business, as well as lower contributions from Fraser & Neave and Frasers Centrepoint Ltd.
