Unusual Limited posts Q3 net profit of S$2.5m, up from S$971,000 previously
EVENTS production firm Unusual Limited posted a net profit of S$2.5 million for the third quarter ended Dec 31, up from S$971,000 previously.
Revenue shot up to S$10.6 million for the quarter, from S$4.4 million previously, due mainly to an increase in promotion revenue.
Earnings per share stood at 0.24 cent for Q3. No dividend was declared for the quarter.
In its outlook, Unusual said that the demand for concerts by well-known entertainers has "remained vibrant" both locally and in the countries where it operates.
In the last quarter, it has worked to extend its promotion activities to North Asia with some events slated for the next two years, said Unusual.
"We have continued working closely with leading entertainers whom we have partnered previously with the view to collaborate again this year. We will make the announcement when the time is right," it added.
Since its listing, Unusual said it has been approached by and also reached out to various parties for acquisition and joint venture opportunities, but none has been confirmed to date.
"In the meantime, we intend to continue with our organic growth and expect to do well this financial year, barring any unforeseen circumstances," it said in its filing to the Singapore Exchange.
