UOB Kay Hian's Q1 profit rises 39.4%

BROKERAGE UOB Kay Hian on Monday posted a 39.4 per cent rise in net profit for the first quarter to S$19.7 million.
Revenue for the three months ended March 31 expanded 19.3 per cent to S$91.4 million from the previous year. Earnings per share expanded to 2.52 Singapore cents from 1.83 Singapore cents in the preceding year.
UOB Kay Hian shares finished S$0.005 or 0.4 per cent lower at S$1.35 on Monday.
