SHIPBUILDER Vard Holdings has won a 60 million-Norwegian krone (S$10.3 million) contract to construct a coastal fishing vessel for Norway-based Breivik.
The vessel is slated for delivery from Vard Braila in Romania in the third quarter of next year, securing work for the yard in all stages of production, it said in a release to the Singapore Exchange on Thursday.
The order is for its Seacon SC34 design, and is equipped with a factory and freezing plant.
Breivik AS, based in Florø, Norway, has been fishing in the North Atlantic for over 30 years.
Headquartered in Norway, Vard operates 10 shipbuilding facilities, with five in Norway, two in Romania, two in Brazil and one in Vietnam.
