SHIPBUILDER Vard Holdings has won a contract to design and build a research expedition vessel for a Norwegian industrialist, it said in a Singapore Exchange filing on Tuesday morning. It did not disclose the contract sum.
The 182 metres long vessel will be able to monitor and survey marine life in all the world's oceans and will be the longest ever built by Vard, the group said.
