Vard unit secures 100m kroner deal

VARD Holdings has secured a large equipment contract for a vessel under construction at Fincantieri SpA, through its specialised subsidiary Seaonics. The new deal is the largest to date for Norway-based Seaonics, which manufactures offshore handling equipment to improve critical lift and handling operations.
The 100 million kroner (S$17.5 million) contract comprises a complete package of winches, deck cranes, and overboarding systems including A-frames and launch and recovery systems for the polar research vessel under construction in Italy.
