Venture Corp Q1 earnings up 72% on marginally higher revenue
Revenue for the quarter up 1.5% to S$856m; in US dollar terms, revenue would have been up 9.1%

AFTER last year's record-setting growth, Venture Corp has delivered a set of first-quarter results that is more sturdy than stellar.
Net profit in the three months to March 31 was S$83.7 million, up 72.2 per cent from the same period a year earlier. Revenue was S$856 million, up 1.5 per cent. In US dollar terms, revenue for the first quarter would have grown by 9.1 per cent, the company said.
