Wilmar Q3 earnings down 5.7%

WEAKER results in the tropical oils and sugar businesses were a drag on earnings at Wilmar International, offsetting a good performance from the oilseeds and grains segment as well as strong contributions from associates during the third quarter.
Net profit for the three months to Sept 30 was down 5.7 per cent to US$370 million, from US$392.2 million in the same period a year earlier.
