Xpress founder to step down
FOUNDER and chief operating officer of mainboard-listed Xpress Holdings, KK Fong, is stepping down to pursue new business interests.
From March 31, Mr Fong, who started the company 30 years ago, will be handing the reins over to a new management team led by chairman Ma Wei Dong.
Mr Fong said: "With the successful hand-over to the new management team, it is time for me to devote my energies to new business opportunities that I am passionate about. It is timely for me now to make a move as the group has been successfully transformed from a traditional SME printing company to one that is technology-driven with a regional presence."
With Mr Fong at the helm, Xpress expanded from a small printing shop in Singapore's CBD area to a listed firm with offices and print stations across the Asia-Pacific.
Lim Huan Chiang, Xpress' chief executive, said: "Xpress has certainly benefited from his entrepreneurial talent, deep passion for the business and relentless pursuit of printing excellence."
