Yoma project 'is 1st in Myanmar to have water-treatment plant'
The plant, using Hyflux technologies, will supply drinking water to residents of Pun Hlaing Golf Estate
Singapore
MAINBOARD-LISTED Yoma Strategic Holdings on Monday announced the opening of a potable water plant at Pun Hlaing Golf Estate, its development in Myanmar, which the company says is the first in the country to have its own water-treatment plant.
Designed and supplied by Singapore-listed water solutions provider Hyflux, the plant is to deliver high-quality drinking water straight to the taps of residents in the estate, using Hyflux's proprietary Kristal ultrafiltration and reverse-osmosis technologies for brackish water. The plant has a treatment capacity of 1,000 cu m a day, and is expandable to 2,500 cu m a day, providing a constant supply of potable water.
